TEC Phoenix Academy

Located at the Plimpton Building on the campus of Walpole High School, TEC Phoenix Academy is designed for students in grades 7-12 with academic, emotional and/or behavioral challenges that necessitate a small structured educational setting. The program provides an academic curriculum aligned with the MA Curriculum Frameworks. An integrated team of skilled teachers, adjustment counselors, and therapists assist students to develop self-awareness, effective personal decision making, and collaborative problem solving skills. Licensed Social Workers provide ongoing counseling, clinical consulting, and case management. College and career counseling prepares students for success in school, college, and career. 

Diverse vocational opportunities are offered based on student interest and have included Culinary Arts, Computer Repair, Animal Care, and Automotive Detailing. Resource rich classrooms are equipped with a range of instructional and assistive technologies including a 1:1 Chromebook program. Students have access to a comprehensive selection of online and blended courses providing a pathway to credit recovery, acceleration, exploration, and Advanced Placement. Self-growth activities include field trips, community service, and guest speakers. Upon graduation, students receive their diploma from their home district.

Parent Support Program: Individual support meetings and consultation from a multidisciplinary team of providers. Parent sessions throughout the school year to provide information and support.
