SMEC Primary Language Program (PLP)

Elementary program serving students in grades K – 6 with ASD and other communication and developmental disabilities. An experienced special education teacher and trained paraprofessionals maintain a 3:1 student/staff ratio. Therapeutic services are provided by licensed SLPs, OTs, BCBAs and PTs. The PLP offers a school year schedule with optional 5 week part-time extended year summer services. The program is located in a public elementary school building and accepts students from all districts.

Therapeutic Services Available

Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Vision Services, Behavioral Consultation

Parent Support Program: SMEC monthly parent meetings are available for resource sharing.
