SMEC Alternative Learning Classroom I (ALC I)

Middle school program serving students in grades 5-8 with social/emotional and behavioral disabilities. An experienced special education teacher and trained paraprofessionals maintain a 3:1 student/staff ratio. Therapeutic services are provided by a licensed school adjustment counselor, SLPs, OTs and PTs. The ALC I offers a school year schedule with optional 5 week part-time extended year summer services. The program is located in a public middle school building and accepts students from all districts.

Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Counseling, Vision Services, Behavioral Consultation

Parent Support Program: SMEC monthly parent meetings are available for resource sharing.
