Palmer River Elementary
The elementary classrooms at Palmer River Elementary School, Rehoboth offer comprehensive educational and therapeutic services for students aged six to twelve who present with diverse needs. Our mission is to provide students with the academic, social, emotional and therapeutic supports necessary to prepare them for inclusion opportunities in their community schools. Palmer River students have demonstrated needs in language development, cognition, sensory integration and social/ emotional/behavioral skills which often arise from diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, pervasive developmental disorder, and neuro-motor deficits. Educators incorporate research-based best practices with supports provided by continual professional development, technical assistance, and a network of expert consultants.
