Community Based Program Initiative

This new community based programming initiative is designed to meet the unique needs of young adults with special needs in more age appropriate settings once the typical offerings of high school have been exhausted. This particular group of students would have extensive vocational, independent living, recreation/leisure, self- determination and further training options to prepare them for the world of work, post secondary education/training and transition to adult services and programs. For these particular students, a need exists for an interim step between high school and adulthood. This program would provide that step and better prepare our students and their families for life after special education.
