READS Academy
READS Academy is a therapeutic day school that serves children and adolescents between the ages of 5 to 22 who have been diagnosed with emotional, behavioral neuro-developmental and learning disabilities, and who require specialized instruction and services to meet their needs. The mission of READS Academy is to facilitate a student’s personal growth on an emotional and psychological level and to provide a structure for developing basic interpersonal and social skills through academics and counseling. The Academy has a K-6 public day school and a grades 7-12 public day school in two locations in Middleboro.
READS Academy also offers a substantially separate therapeutic classroom for high school students, located within West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School. This setting provides students with the opportunity to transition into general education classes with special education support, while receiving specialized services. READS Academy offers Assessment Services at all grade levels that are designed to assist Special Education Teams in identifying the needs of students through comprehensive clinical and educational evaluations. Evaluation Data is gathered through a variety of tools to assist in educational planning and placement.

Parent Support Program: Support to families is individualized and ongoing within the program. Counselors maintain consistent contact with families and guardians.
