Alternative Program K-8
The CASE Developmental Disabilities Program offers highly structured self-contained therapeutic classes that are academically challenging, while also remaining supportive and sensitive to the individual needs of each student. The staff utilizes a team model in providing therapeutic intervention services to students.
- All classes located in public school buildings with same-aged peers
- Therapeutic milieu environment
- Culture that fosters a sense of community, belonging, safety, respect and appreciation of others
- Individual therapy and weekly group counseling focused on social skills and social pragmatics skills
- Development and application of coping and problem-solving strategies
- Instruction and therapies provided individually or in small groups, determined by need
- Services specified in a student’s IEP generally provided within the CASE classroom
- Curriculum follows MA Frameworks, Common Core, and student IEPs
- Inclusion opportunities with typically developing students
- Strong Assistive Technology team

Parent Support Program: Facilitated Parent Group that provides support, education, and resources.
Additional Program Information: BCBA, School Adjustment Counselors/Social Workers, Literary Specialists available.
