Colebrook High School
Colebrook High School is a Collaborative Therapeutic Day School that serves adolescents whose educational needs have not been met in a traditional high school setting. The school is located on the Acton/Boxborough Public School Complex. The overarching goal of the Program is to empower students to self-regulate behaviors in all developmental domains: academic, emotional, relational, interpersonal, life skills, vocational/career.
We provide small class size (6-10 students), specialized instruction, and appropriate modifications and accommodations to address differential learning needs and emotional issues that may interfere with student learning. Academic credits earned directly transfer to the sending district transcript. Typically the sending districts will issue diplomas to graduates. Most Colebrook students attend post-high school institutions of higher learning including 2 and 4-year public and private institutions. Colebrook features a 21st Century skills- based academic program. The curriculum is aligned with Common Core Standards/Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Many Colebrook students participate in extracurricular inclusion opportunities and/or take classes at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. Students are also encouraged to participate in their home district’s activities and events.
